Just a quick little update before I run off to class.

I had my first radio show yesterday - it went well.  I have several listeners already and requests for next week's show.

Disco's got something wrong with his feet.  I've got some treatments to try before I spend money I don't have on a vet visit.

The new Coe kids are pretty damn awesome.  I'm looking forward to hanging out with them more.  I think it's hilarious that Anne and I have to teach them how to play mah jong.

The Academy Is... concert next Thursday is just what I need to shake myself out of this funk I've gotten myself into.  Live music FTW.

Plans for a winter trip to Japan are still going strong.  Just have to convince my parents to not throw a bitch fit when I tell them what I'm using that $1700 for.  Ha.

Alright, gotta get some shoes on and then head out to class.

I'm back in Iowa after a long, lonely trip.  First thing I do with my brother is get in a fight.  :Db  Mom's probably pissed at me because I wasn't all "OHMYGOD ITS SO GREAT TO BE BACK IN IOWA I MISSED EVERYTHING AND I'M NEVER LEAVING AGAIN."  -___-;;

God, it's only been one day back here and I'm like, "Okay, I'm done.  Wanna go home now."  And, of course, by 'home', I mean Japan.  :''(  I can't wait to go back in January.  January needs to be, like, tomorrow.  Grah.

School starts in two weeks.  I move back up to IC on the 17th.  That's also the day Anne gets back.  Which will be nice because then she can smack me and tell me to stop being stupid.  :\  Kittens will help, too.

I know I hated Iowa like no other place I've ever lived, but having to come back to this after being in Japan..... I never realized I could hate one place so much.

Be prepared for a wave of "I miss Japan" posts.  I've heard from everyone who went home before me that reverse culture shock and the post-Japan depression hits you hard and just kind of pins you down for a good, long while.  Do not want.  Dx

Well, everyone's gone. 

I'm moved out of Proxy and into my new place.  It's already getting messy.  I'm going to clean tomorrow, though.  Fr srs.

I had dinner with Naoto today.  He didn't wake up until 3.  I'm proud of him, though.  Yesterday, he didn't wake up until 6.  I need to beat his ass until he goes and sees a doctor about his insomnia.  >\

I also bought a new bag!  I've been looking for a new one for a while, and when I saw this one, I just fell in love with it.  That just leaves a pair of authentic Japanese Chucks on my list of things I want to buy before I leave.

Sunday is yakitori tabehoudai and nomihoudai party thing with a few friends.  Super pumped for that.  Then Tuesday is Nagoya Port Aquarium with Maki, then Thursday Anne gets here, then Friday is clubbing with friends.  Oh, and a movie with Yukako sometime during the week, too.

When I leave the country next Tuesday, two of my closest friends are going to come see me off, as well as a boy I happen to fancy.  And Naoto, if he wakes up in time.  Silly Ojiichan <3

I am really looking forward to this week, but not so much the week after.  I really don't want to leave.  :(

Everyone's leaving this week.  :(  Nani left this morning.  Emily and Richard leave Thursday.  :(  I don't want them to leave.  :( :( :(

Anyway, I booked a flight finally.  I'll have an apartment nailed down on Wednesday.

Hide and Misato are throwing me a 'going away party' on the 2nd.  I'm supposed to be going out to a farewell dinner with Ryo and Yusuke sometime this week, too.

But before I can focus on having fun with my friends, I need to get this apartment cleaned and packed and all my shit shipped home.  D:

Not to mention how AMAZINGLY EPIC the HTL/Every Avenue concert was... Both on Sunday and on Monday. x3 I love Omar so much. Josh is amazing, too. :) Can't wait for their headlining tour in the fall - I will be seeing those bitches again. And I will go bowling with them this time! No record company rep to stand in my way! >D

Now to down the rest of my Sprite 3G and go play some futbol with mah boiz. WHOO-WHOOT!

So, I just found out that Hit The Lights and Every Avenue (as well as Valencia and There For Tomorrow) are touring on the Beyond [The] Blue tour in June.

They will be doing a show in Nagoya on June 7th.

Hey all. I'm still alive. :)

Doing pretty fucking awesome as of late. Last night was the Gender Bender party. I dressed up - taped my chest down and pinned my hair up and everything. Yusuke was there. Hung out with him most of the night. :] Got a little tipsy, got a little touchy - there were no objections. ;]

He couldn't stress enough how free he is this week - Golden Week - and how I shouldn't hesitate to invite him along if I end up going out or something. :3  I'm just a bit hung over today, so, today's not going to happen (also, I think that kind of seems a bit too eager), but maybe Sunday or Monday, when there's supposed to be a bunch of festivals, I'll give him a call.  He actually doesn't live that far away from me - maybe a 20 minute walk from my apartment.  He said he'd show it to me sometime.  x3

So, yeah, thought you'd all might wanna know that I am indeed still alive, and just wanted to share this bit of news with everyone.  :)

I'm going out to buy this single, along with Believe maybe tomorrow.  I have to check my bank account first.  If not tomorrow, then on the 17th for sure, 'coz that's when I get my scholarship!  And what better way to spend the money they give me than on everything with Ohno's face on it?  :D

Monkey Majik concert was freaking awesome.  They played all three of my favorite songs.  And I totally speak better Japanese than Blaise, so, :Db

Tokyo was a blast.  Loves me some Yui, Neiji, Takumi, and Abbie.  Yusuke might come visit my area in April, so, looking forward to seeing him again, too.  Takumi said he'd come visit as well, so, double yay because Takumi is freakin' awesome.  Totally want to go back again.  I'm going to have to at least once more before I leave.  Yui and Neiji and I are all going to Summer Sonic or Fuji Rock.  Neiji has an in with one of the bands, so, backstage passes?  *crosses fingers*  Ha ha, oh, I love my friends.  <3

I need to go to the post office today.  I have been meaning to all week, but I'm a lazy bum, so I haven't yet.  Still need someone to sign that thing as a witness, too.  D:  I'll go stop by I-House before I head down to the post office, then, I guess.

I met a boy.  :3  He's cute and we hit it off.

We're going to the Monkey Majic concert in February.  I'm pumped.  :)

Ohno's drama was pretty much amazing.  The only problem I really had with it was that I could understand a lot of what everyone else was saying, but not what Ohno was saying... D:  It's because he mumbles, kind of, and was being all "I'm a tough rocker-dude" so he was hard to understand.  Plus side, though, is for whatever reason, he looks ridiculously hot in sweats.  :3  I'm so glad I got to watch Uta no Oniisan on Japanese TV.  That's pretty bad ass.  I love my idol.  :D

Speaking of love... the BCL concert is tonight! :D  I'm all dressed up and ready to go whenever Nani's ready.  I know where we're going, got the tickets already, and I've been listening to them non-stop all day.  So, while I might not be able to sing along in the song's entirety, I will at least be able to sing the chorus.  And hopefully, they'll notice and be all pleased with themselves.  :]  I'm really excited because this is the first small venue concert I've been to.  Everything else has been in domes.  And as far as I know, BCL only has four songs... So it's gonna be wicked awesome to see what they play for two hours.  :3  I'm hoping to get a taste of home in this - meeting the band after the concert (again) and chatting for half an hour or so.  'Coz that's how I roll, yo.  And, you know, all the better if they invite us to the afterparty.  ;D

How ever this night turns out, it's going to be fucking awesome.  And god knows I need some fucking awesome in my life right about now.

I love it that the caretaker knows I like NEWS and makes it a point to call me to tell me Yamapi will be on TV.  xD

I also love my RA, Yoshi.  She is the most badass person I know.  I wish her luck when she jets off to Australia in March!  <3

I got invited to go to Korea with a couple of friends at the end of February, and I'm planning a trip to Okinawa sometime in February, too.  I'll have all my Tokyo trip planned out and set up BY THIS WEEKEND (otherwise, I'll be fucked with hotel/bus tickets... again).

Anne leaves on the 14th, and I hope I can see her one last time before she's gone back to the States.  Nani leaves on the 21st, and Emily leaves sometime around then, too.  All the RA's are leaving... Yoshi's going back to her hometown in February, and I don't really know about Mai and Akira.  One of the new RAs has already arrived, so I'm assuming that means one of the RAs has already left.  There's a big going away/welcome party on the 25th, so, that kinda puts a hamper on my Tokyo plans... I'll probably be up there the 22nd through the 25th and take a day bus back.  But that's only if I can procure myself a ticket to the One OK Rock show on teh 24th.  If I can't, then I'll leave the 24th and be back by the 25th.  Or trip up after the 25th.  I don't know yet.  But I'll have it figured out by this weekend and have everything bought, too.

Speaking of this weekend, Ohno's drama premiers on Friday, and then on Saturday, I have my BCL concert.  :3  Hopefully Masayuki will remember me.  <3  We've talked on and off on Mixi, so I'm sure he'll remember me.  It's a smaller concert (hopefully), so I hope I get a chance to talk with them again after the show.

My parents keep sending me emails and messages on MSN asking how I am.  I'm not doing anything new or exciting, so I hate talking to them.  :\  They're all, "OMG TELL US EVERY DETAIL ABOUT WHAT YOU DID TODAY." All I've got to reply with is, "I woke up, took a shower, and then didn't really do much of anything."  But they still insist that I describe in detail what time I woke up and how long my shower was and what I ate and when and... christ.  I know they miss me and whatever, but they need to back the fuck off.  :\  I feel kind of guilty for avoiding them, but I just don't have anything to say to them at all and I'd really rather not suffer through a conversation with them if I don't have to.  It's going to be hell when I finally move out for good.  I can't believe how damn clingy they are.  If they weren't my parents, I'd tell them to gtfo.  As sad as that is.

I went out with Nani and Yoshi last night to dinner and then we went to East Paradise for coffee and cake.  I apparently looked really cute/dressed up because they kept teasing me and asking if I had a date later that night or had just gotten back from a date.  x]  I wish I would have had a date.  :\  I met a few cute guys at the Hub when Anne and I went for happy hour the night she left for Yuto's.  Also, bike guy outside of Kanayama station.  He was cute.  And he was totall showing off for me on his trick bike.  And, unfortunately, I had to leave because I wanted to catch the last bus from Hongo because that's a fuck long way to walk in the cold and dark, but I did manage a "Sore wa sugoi yo." before running away.  xD  He was all, "...Ari...gatou?"  His skateboard friend cracked up.  xD  They'll be talking about me for days.  And then I'll randomly show up at Kanayama again and he's gonna be all, "HEY IT'S YOU. :O"  xD  It should be epicly awesome.  x3  And every time I'm up on campus, I keep my eyes peeled for Naoki.  I probably wont run into him again until the new semester starts.  I don't think he's graduating.  I think he said he was only 20.  So, we shall see.

Ugh, my apartment is cold but I would rather freeze then pay another $60 electricity bill.

I should finish those letters today so I can finally mail them all out tomorrow.  Ugh.  x\

Oh, and if I recall correctly, Cobra Starship is doing a concert or two in Tokyo sometime later in January/February.  I would love to be able to go see that and be all, "HEY I SAW YOU IN IOWA. :D".

Mucc is being dumb and touring overseas currently.  LAME.  C'mon, Tatsuro... You said you'd see me again!  What is this crap touring the states?  Get your ass back here to your own damn country and tour here, bitch.  >[

I made some New Years Resolutions.  Wanna hear them?  Of course you do!  :D

1. Write & send Ohno at least one letter.  I'm here in Japan.  Should I pass up the oppertunity to communicate with my idol?  I think not!
2. Make more Japanese friends.  Ties in with...
3. Speak more Japanese.  Read more Japanese.  Write more Japanese.  I need to keep up with my translating projects and I should watch Japanee TV instead of watching movies on my computer.

Yeah, that's about it.  Other than those three things, I'm pretty damn content with my life at the moment.  :]

Happy Christmas, everyone! It's Dec. 24th here in Japan, which means it's Christmas in two days for everyone in the States.

It kind of snuck up on me this year.  I am not prepared at all.  I'm really glad my parents sent me a package with a Christmas tree and stocking.  It definitely makes it feel more like Christmas for me.  Because other than that, I've got absolutely nothing Christmas-y around the apartment.  In fact, the place is an absolute mess.

Speaking of my apartment being a mess, that's what my plans are for today.  Clean, clean, and clean some more!  The last day to get trash out until January is tomorrow, so I'm gonna get as much cleaned as I can.

But I still want a few more Russ-K shirts/hoodies, and the sale ends tomorrow.  So, I'm going to clean half of my apartment and then go to Indio and buy my shirts/hoodies and then come back and finish cleaning.  It's like a break/reward for actually cleaning.  Tomorrow may just well be devoted to laundry, seeing as I haven't done it in about a month and I'm running out of clothes.  D:

So, yes.  Those are my plans for Christmas.  Although I think us Proxy kids are having a big potluck Christmas dinner tomorrow.  I'm not sure of the details, though, since no one seems to know what's going on.  xD  We're organized.  x]

Anyway, I really need to get cleaning.  My Christmas Songs have finished downloading, so I'm all set to jam out to some jingly tunes and get myself in the Christmas spirit.

Massive headache still haunting me.

But I got my package today!  :]  Akira came and knocked on my door and woke me up.  And, of course, he doesn't like to speak English, so, he's talking to me  in Japanese and I'm still in a daze, wondering what on earth he's talking about until I catch the word "nimotsu".  xD  He looked so uncomfortable (as usual).

I got a box full of wrapped presents, plus a stocking, a cute little Christmas tree (YAY!), Cheetos <3, FUDGE, and a bunch of wrapped stocking stuffers.  Oh, it feels so much more like Christmas now.  :3

Once I get the place cleaned up (not happening until after the concert tomorrow), I'm gonna set up my little Christmas tree, hang my stocking, and arrange my presents in a corner somewhere and have myself a proper Christmas.  :3  I'm really happy now.

You know, minus the whole my brain feels like it's going to leak out of my ears thing.  -__-;;  Once I'm feeling better, I'll be in a Christmasy mood.  :]

I have been in bed with a huge headache.  It won't go away, no matter how many pain killers I pop or sleep I get.

I would really, really, really like to get shot in the face right about now.

So much for getting anything done today.

I should go eat something, though.  I really, really, really don't want to get up.
